Portola Railroad Days is back
with its annual community festival
celebrating Portola's rich history
as a railroad town! The four day
event held in and around the
Western Pacific Railroad Museum
in Portola provides plenty of family
entertainment. We hope that you will
join us! We are pleased to announce
the return of The Feather River Express,
the special Domes to Railroad Days
excursion train, Friday, Aug. 19, 2011,
at the W.P.R.R. Museum.
The train will travel from Emeryville
to Portolaup the Feather River Canyon,
and will lay over in Portola during the three
day event weekend. Portola is a small
mountain town nestled 4,500 feet up
amongst towering evergreens and
fresh mountain streams and lakes.
Portola and the surrounding
community boast some of the best
fishing, camping, hiking, biking
and golfing found in Northern California!
While you are here,we hope that
you will visit the rest of our community.
Graeagle will be having its annual
Graeagle Fall Arts & Crafts Festival
the same weekend.
The spectacular "Stars in the Barn"
event returns this year to the famous
Corner Barn at the corner of
highways 89 and 70. This year's show
"Spirit," features the magical world of
dancing horses, artists, horse and rider,
and more. We have so much for you
to do, you won't want to leave!
